The primary goal of the memorandum is to develop new electronic technologies and create additional job opportunities through the attraction of foreign investment.
As part of an official visit to the People's Republic of China, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, held a meeting with prominent and economically stable entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, and executives of companies operating in one of the country's major financial and technological hubs — the city of Shenzhen in Guangdong Province.
The meeting, held in an open dialogue format, focused on exploring cooperation prospects in new technologies with reputable companies based in Shenzhen. Discussions also covered the implementation of joint projects in Uzbekistan’s manufacturing and service sectors, the establishment of joint ventures, and opportunities for exporting goods and services.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between leading companies from Uzbekistan and China — Unicon-Soft and Shenzhen T.D.S Electronic Technology Co. Ltd.. The agreement aims to foster collaboration in the development of new electronic technologies, attract foreign investment, and generate new jobs.
During the visit, the delegation from the Ministry of Digital Technologies also met with Daniel Zhao, Vice President and Managing Director of Alibaba Cloud Intelligence, and Fan Jing, Chief Executive Officer of the e-commerce business group at Alibaba.com. The sides discussed key areas for bilateral cooperation and agreed to elevate the partnership to a new level.
In addition, discussions were held with officials from the cities of Hubei, Huizhou, and Kashgar regarding digital technology projects and the conditions created to support entrepreneurs.
