As a result of the favorable conditions and incentives created in the field of information technologies in our country, the participation of national software developers has been steadily expanding across a number of areas, including the digitalization of public administration, improvement of communication infrastructure, and development of IT education. In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Measures to Effectively Organize Public Administration in the Field of Digital Technologies within the Framework of Administrative Reforms,” the main directions for the digital transformation of sectors, industries, and regions have been defined.
The “Unicon-Soft” company, operating in the Yunusabad district, is also making a worthy contribution to this process. As part of his visit to the Yunusabad district on December 16, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with the company’s activities.
Established in 2017, the company has to date developed and implemented more than 70 software products and information systems across the republic. The company has branches responsible for the implementation and technical support of information systems in all regions, as well as in 208 districts (cities). More than 1,500 employees work at these branches, 80 percent of whom are young professionals.
At present, “Unicon-Soft” plans to launch the production of software and technical solutions in the field of digitalization, digitalize customs operations, and introduce the “Digital Mahalla” platform. The Head of State reviewed presentations of the company’s projects in these areas.
Relevant recommendations were given to further develop the production of national IT products, enhance young people’s knowledge and skills in artificial intelligence technologies, and accelerate digitalization processes within government agencies.
